Position Overview:

UPMC in Central PA is actively seeking a full-time Chief CRNA to enhance our skilled team in Carlisle. This pivotal role encompasses both administrative and clinical duties, focusing on the recruitment, retention, and mentorship of CRNAs within our program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Balance of 40% administrative duties and 60% clinical practice.
  • Collaborate within a network comprising seven hospitals and 160 outpatient and primary care facilities.
  • Work alongside a collegial team of Physicians, Advanced Practice Partners, Registered Nurses, and Medical Assistants.
  • Contribute to the development of CRNA training programs and curricula.
  • Serve as a peer reviewer for CRNA evaluations and scope of practice.
  • Oversee and implement programs related to CRNA continuing education, retention, and clinical service delivery.
  • Engage with a skilled and diverse team performing a variety of surgical procedures, including Neurosurgery, Transplant, Cardiac, Obstetric, and Pediatric cases.
  • Utilize the EPIC Electronic Medical Record system and Fabias GS technology.
  • Enjoy flexible scheduling options.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Graduate of an accredited CRNA program.
  • Eligibility to obtain a license to practice in Pennsylvania.
  • Ability to secure valid federal and state narcotics certificates.
  • Dedication to delivering high-quality, compassionate patient care.
  • Comfortable managing a diverse range of clinical cases.
  • Both experienced practitioners and new graduates are encouraged to consider this opportunity.
