POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Wind Turbine Technician at Vestas, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency of wind turbines. This intermediate-level role involves performing essential maintenance and installation tasks on designated wind turbines with minimal oversight.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute maintenance and installation duties according to established schedules and safety protocols.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, sharing your expertise and knowledge.
- Engage in hands-on work, which may include climbing heights of over 250 feet or working in confined spaces to conduct repairs and maintenance.
- Utilize tools and equipment effectively, including the transportation of parts necessary for your tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- At least one year of experience in hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, or composite work, or completion of a recognized Wind Technician program.
- Demonstrated understanding of basic industrial safety practices, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Proficient in the use of basic power and hydraulic tools.
- A valid Driver's License and the ability to secure a Passport are necessary.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Capability to read and interpret basic technical drawings.
