Maintenance Technician

Job Summary: As a Maintenance Technician at Wisconsin Converting, you will be responsible for performing expert maintenance on our paper converting lines and general facility equipment. This includes preventative maintenance, machine installation, and maintaining necessary tools, parts, and supplies for producing paper bags. You will also troubleshoot repairs throughout the facility and contribute to a culture of accountability, reliability, and continual growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and troubleshoot problems and breakdowns of equipment.
  • Maintain and repair production equipment as needed.
  • Keep records of work performed and complete history logs.
  • Assure operation of safe and functionally sound equipment.
  • Perform occasional light building maintenance.
Requirements:
  • High School Graduate or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years Industrial Mechanic experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Able to read, understand, and follow technical reference manuals and/or blueprints.
  • Understanding of manufacturing equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in maintenance or related field required in a manufacturing setting.
  • Effective in dealing with multiple priorities and simultaneous projects.
  • Demonstrate a creative approach and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to read and understand technical reference manuals.
  • Machining and fabrication experience in an industrial setting.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of walking and standing.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Safely ascend and descend ladders occasionally.
