Role SummaryThe Sous Chef plays a crucial role in the culinary operations, supporting the Executive Chef in delivering high-quality food services. This position involves overseeing daily kitchen activities, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff management.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation and cooking of a variety of dishes.
- Contribute to menu development and implementation.
- Support the rollout of new culinary initiatives in collaboration with the marketing and culinary teams.
- Manage food costs and ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
- Perform additional duties as required.
- A minimum of 5 years of culinary experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Experience in diverse food service environments such as restaurants, corporate dining, or educational institutions.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and industry trends.
- Proficient in managing kitchen operations and staff training.
- ServSafe certification or equivalent is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Associate's degree in Culinary Arts is preferred.
