About the Role

The Logistics Operations Specialist will operate and move trailers between facilities, utilizing effective communication with dispatch, loading and unloading tasks, and collaboration with warehouse staff while adhering to safety and physical requirements.

This role requires a strong attention to detail and ability to work independently, making it an excellent opportunity for those looking to advance their careers in logistics and transportation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate with Dispatcher/Router for truck/trailer and door assignments
  • Keep assigned equipment coupled
  • Move trailers between buildings as directed by Router or Warehouse Supervisor
  • Load, unload, or merge loads between environments
  • Stage shuttle trailers nightly for shuttle drivers
  • Set up trailers for backhaul with tractor and empty pallets
  • Place backhauls in correct door to be unloaded by warehouse

In addition to these responsibilities, the Logistics Operations Specialist will also work closely with mechanics to ensure all equipment is paired and ready for next day's deliveries.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
  • Minimum of six months commercial driving experience preferred
  • Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations
  • Must be able to read and communicate in the English language
