Job Summary

Skyworks is seeking a skilled Equipment Engineering Technician 3 to join our Newbury Park team. As a key member of our Equipment Engineering team, you will be responsible for supporting the Fab and Final Process areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dismantle, adjust, repair, and assemble equipment according to schematics, blueprints, drawings, and operating or repair manuals.
  • Perform preventive and routine maintenance and repairs on semiconductor manufacturing equipment following work instructions and manufacturer manuals.
  • Follow processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions to all production equipment in a specific area.
  • Perform electrical/mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical production equipment used in the Fab.
  • Set up, calibrate, and perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
  • Rebuild and repair manufacturing equipment as required.
  • Perform equipment modifications as directed by Equipment Engineering.
  • Work on complex assignments requiring judgment in resolving issues or making recommendations to the Engineering community.
  • Participate as a contributing member of the Emergency Response Team.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Electronics Technology (or similar discipline), or a HS diploma with equivalent years of experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a production and/or faced pace environment.
  • Experience with common hand tools as well as various electronic instruments.
  • Job duties may require heavy lifting (install/removal of pumps).
  • Must pass respiratory protection medical surveillance examination.
  • Must have in-depth knowledge, understanding, and support of manufacturing process.
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work the overnight and compressed shift.
