We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team as a Travel LPN. This opportunity allows an LPN to travel locally by working in various GSS locations within a 150-mile radius from home address, providing care with competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, flexibility, and no contract requirement.

Job Summary

The Good Samaritan Society is a not-for-profit organization that has provided over 100 years of housing and services to seniors with a commitment to quality care and service in a Christian environment. As a Travel LPN, you will be responsible for providing technical support to healthcare professionals, administering medications or treatments as ordered, and documenting resident interactions as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Provide care to residents with a focus on their physical and psychosocial needs
  • Administer medications or treatments as ordered by a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician
  • Document resident interactions as needed and the outcomes related to resident care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred
  • Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges
  • Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
