Client Service Excellence
Ensuring a high standard of client satisfaction and service delivery.
Collaborating with the Senior Account Executive on account renewals as necessary.
Meeting agency retention objectives through proactive account engagement, enhancement of coverage limits, and exceptional client service.
Role Responsibilities
Engage with insurance carrier representatives, clients, and internal support teams to guarantee that all stakeholders receive essential information promptly and comprehensively, facilitating successful sales outcomes.
Communicate with clients through various channels (written correspondence, email, in-person meetings, phone calls, etc.).
Participate in and advocate for pre and post-placement services, including proof of insurance, loss control measures, premium financing, and claims management.
Handle daily tasks, including ad-hoc requests and renewal processes.
Document all interactions with clients and producers according to established protocols, capturing details of inquiries, complaints, and actions taken.
Oversee key processes and internal functions that enable us to meet client-facing requirements.
Collaborate with Senior Commercial Lines Account Managers on complex matters to enhance knowledge and experience with accounts.
Act as a backup for team members during absences to ensure balanced workload distribution.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
New Business and Renewal Oversight
Respond to inquiries via phone and email for quotes, modifications to existing policies, and other requests, ensuring completion within 24 hours.
Prepare and update applications and submissions for insurance carriers.
Negotiate optimal terms and conditions with carriers on behalf of clients.
Review current accounts to identify additional insurance lines to recommend prior to renewal.
Document all significant discussions with clients and carriers regarding coverage and exposures.
Deliver policy binders and documentation for assigned accounts within five days of receipt, including a Summary of Insurance.
Conduct quarterly service reviews with assigned accounts.
Assist in preparing mid-year evaluations with clients and producers.
Review all terminations and cancellations to determine necessary actions, ensuring timely responses within 72 hours.
Essential Qualifications
- Valid state insurance license(s).
- Comprehensive understanding of brokerage operations, including claims management, commercial lines rating, and relevant insurance regulations.
- Proficient in electronic systems; strong skills in automation tools, including MIS, Outlook, Word, Excel, and document management software.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- High level of self-motivation and ability to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of CISR or ACSR designation; enrollment in INS or API programs is advantageous.
- Familiarity with risk assessment and management techniques.
- Extensive knowledge of various insurance lines, including specialized and less common coverages.
