Position Overview

PDQ STAFFING is seeking dedicated and skilled Clinical Nurse Specialists to join our team. This role involves providing essential nursing services and healthcare to individuals within a correctional facility.

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, your duties will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients' health issues and requirements.
  • Administering prescribed medications and initiating emergency care as needed.
  • Collaborating with physicians to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Creating and executing nursing protocols while maintaining accurate medical documentation.
  • Providing training to staff and educating patients on health and wellness practices.
Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Possession of a valid and unrestricted RN license in Virginia or a multi-state compact license.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from a recognized organization.
Preferred Experience

Additional experience that would be beneficial includes:

  • Background in correctional healthcare or law enforcement settings.
  • Experience with mental health patients.
  • Experience in acute care or community health environments.
