Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer at Rochester Regional Health, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality ultrasound imaging services to our patients. Your expertise will be essential in assisting the RN and physician in the performance of interventional procedures, as well as coordinating and evaluating the daily schedule to ensure efficient use of resources.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations, adhering to professional and ethical standards.
- Assist in the daily routines of the ultrasound department, maintaining equipment and reporting any issues to the departmental Manager and Biomed.
- Participate in departmental performance improvement initiatives and complete required annual training and competencies.
- Demonstrate responsibility for personal professional development by participating in CE requirements.
Requirements
- Must be a graduate of an accredited US program and be registered with ARDMS or Registry eligible.
- Must have current BLS and be fluent in scanning all aspects of Ultrasound.
- Must be able to work holidays per hospital schedule and lift up to 50lbs.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, work independently, and demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimally 1 year of US experience in a variety of US exams (OB, Venous, Arterial, Abdomen, Breast, Interventional procedures).
- PREFERRED: 2-3 years of experience in a variety of US exams.
Physical Requirements
M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
Pay Range
$52.78 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full-time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
