Ace Precision Machining is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Manager to lead our production team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for motivating, developing, and directing the work of production employees to ensure the manufacture of products consistent with Company expectations and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Motivate, develop, and direct the work of production employees to achieve Company standards for quality, quantity, and safety.
- Set clear expectations for performance, hold production employees accountable to work standards, and appraise performance on an ongoing basis.
- Identify developmental needs of production employees and provide coaching, mentoring, and necessary resources for them to expand their job knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Train employees on processes and methods required to achieve Company standards for quality, quantity, and safety.
- Monitor work of production employees to ensure that all production, quality, housekeeping, and safety procedures are being followed.
- Verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications through the use of various inspection measuring equipment.
- Analyze work orders, production schedules, and other reports to determine production requirements and evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
- Collaborate with Production Control to establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals and ensure a smooth transition between work shifts.
- Confers with other supervisors and management to coordinate and improve the efficiency of operations and activities within or between departments.
- Initiates and fosters a spirit of cooperation and teamwork.
- Applies knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and resource allocation to maximize manufacturing efficiencies and drive process improvements.
- Actively participates in management, production, quality, and training meetings.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, and participating in professional organizations and networks.
- Associate's Degree in Manufacturing, Business, or related field, with three years of supervisory or lead experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel, is essential.
- Ability to read English and understand sketches, routings, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees and other Company stakeholders.
- Must possess excellent writing skills.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts of algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
