Oswald Companies is seeking a goal-driven professional to take ownership in a high-growth business that truly walks the talk. As a key service client contact, you will identify, design, communicate, and implement cost-effective Property & Casualty solutions to cover risk appropriately. This includes pre-qualifying, reviewing, identifying, and procuring coverage needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Sales / Business Development and Client Executive teams to support the achievement of defined new business, retention, and growth goals.
  • Maintain a book of business by practice based on complexity and the servicing of client needs.
  • Ensure that all client service needs are delivered in a timely and professional manner, including contract reviews, exposure and coverage questions, proposals, binding communications, certificate template creation and approval, etc.
  • Work closely and support agency relationships with appropriate client contacts at all levels.
  • Direct the onboarding of new clients by collaborating with the Sales / Business Development staff to obtain thorough and accurate information required for the established agency compliance standards.
  • Serve the Practice Leader, Team Leader, Client Executives, and Sales / Business Development staff in the development and implementation of the Oswald Companies Client Service Deliverable for new and existing accounts.
  • Risk Assessment - demonstrate the ability to examine the operations of an insured and/or prospect thoroughly, identifying the potential internal and external exposures that could negatively impact their respective business.
  • Marketing - compile the appropriate underwriting information for a given account, and engage the most favorable carrier partners to review/quote the necessary coverage based upon the needs of the client coupled with our extensive knowledge regarding carrier appetites and relationships.
  • Servicing - ensure the day-to-day servicing needs of our clients are addressed in a timely, complete, and professional manner, which includes but is not limited to certificate issuances, endorsement requests, coverage inquiries, billing coordination, etc.
  • Stewardship - coordinate team members in the preparation of a comprehensive list of services rendered to a client in a given time period; concisely articulate the value of those products and services to the insured.
  • Loss Control - assist insureds and/or prospects to understand ways in which risk can be minimized or mitigated and help facilitate those services as appropriate.
  • Serve as the sole Oswald Companies representative for more complex 'house accounts' where no Sales / Business Development staff are assigned.
  • Required to attend and conduct client meetings as the sole Oswald Companies representative when needed; clearly articulate key P&C coverage issues and recommendations to all parties involved, and be able to respond to complex coverage questions in impromptu situations.
  • Remain current with respect to industry updates, carrier appetites, and underwriting capabilities to ensure optimal program placement and pricing negotiations for each client.
  • Maintain favorable and productive relationships with all underwriters in support of key carrier relationships to achieve best-in-class results for the client.
  • Occasionally represent Oswald Companies at company functions, Agency Council, and other carrier meetings as assigned by Practice Leader.
  • Develop leadership capabilities in the planning, execution, and delivery of special projects as needed.
  • Train staff in the understanding and coordination of key operations activities and processes; assist in the development of industry knowledge and skills of other team members.
  • May serve as a mentor to new employees and/or employees new to a role.
  • Attain further education, coursework, and skills development opportunities to obtain professional designations in their field of expertise.
Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration or Risk Management from a four-year college or university and five to ten years or more of related experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior Property & Casualty support experience is required.
  • Prior Property & Casualty client management experience is required.
  • Demonstrated prior ability to perform duties in a more efficient and productive manner to deliver a superior work product and services.
Certifications, Licenses, and Designations

  • P&C License Required.
