Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at JW Marriott Washington DC. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubricating equipment, and identifying and repairing faults.
  • Respond to guest repair requests and communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues.
  • Conduct visual inspections of tools, equipment, and machines to ensure they are in good working order.
  • Carry out tasks such as painting, minor drywall repair, and light bulb replacement.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and repair a range of equipment, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Program TVs and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties.
  • Use the Lockout/Tagout system to ensure safe maintenance practices.
  • Perform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping, including sprinkler systems.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and support the team to achieve common goals.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Some experience in general maintenance, surface preparation, and painting preferred.
  • Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance a plus.
  • Driver's license required.
