As an Automation Controls Specialist at Admix, you will be integral to our ongoing success. Your role will involve the development and integration of electromechanical systems, utilizing both established and innovative technologies to deliver state-of-the-art solutions for our clientele. Your proficiency with process equipment, including pumps, valves, variable frequency drives (VFDs), sensors, and motors, will be crucial in the commissioning and effective application of these technologies.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Desire and capability for self-improvement and independent work.
  • Expertise in designing, installing, and commissioning control solutions that align with project specifications and customer SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) or IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) frameworks.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Competence in understanding and proposing efficiency enhancements related to process control.
  • Familiarity with object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD) principles.
  • Understanding of network application and design protocols, such as Ethernet/IP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support in electrical and control systems to engineering, sales, and production teams as required.
  • Develop and document control systems, including wiring specifications, schematics, panel layouts, ladder logic, and other essential documentation for manufacturing, operation, and maintenance.
  • Interpret existing wiring schematics to perform troubleshooting, servicing, and simplification of products throughout their lifecycle.
  • Create solutions that are elegantly simple, emphasizing fewer components, clear programming, and ease of understanding for service teams.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong expertise in specifying, applying, and troubleshooting PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMIs (Human Machine Interfaces), and VFDs.
  • Proficient in handling electrical systems including 280V / 480V three-phase, 120 VAC, and 12 VDC.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proven experience collaborating with team members, demonstrating the ability to work effectively both independently and within a diverse team environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
