Job Title: Tax Manager

At Creative Financial Staffing, we are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our team. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and review of federal tax returns, ensuring accurate and timely filing of all tax forms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the preparation and review of federal tax returns, ensuring accurate and timely filing of all tax forms.
  • Review and manage deliverables from staff, including tax returns, extensions, tax planning calculations, and write-up work for diverse entity types.
  • File consolidated federal, state, and local income tax returns and related business filings with precision and timeliness.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in company tax procedures.
  • Devise and execute strategic tax planning strategies for federal and state taxes, ensuring compliance and maximizing benefits.
  • Lead and supervise the tax team members in preparing components of the company's US federal income tax return and other tax-related documents.
  • Plan and organize the overall return calendar, coordinating timing and inputs within the tax team.
  • Implement effective control procedures across all tax-related processes.
  • Manage and facilitate IRS income tax audits, crafting responses and preparing schedules as needed.
  • Monitor and communicate the implications of legislative and regulatory tax law developments to management and the tax team, devising strategies to leverage taxation changes.
  • Provide support for internal audits and specialized tax-related projects.
  • Conduct reviews of tax returns and quarterly/yearly tax projections.
  • Mentor and guide tax team members to enhance their effectiveness and engagement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA license is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in tax software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
