Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Electrician to join our Utilities Department in Palm Springs, FL. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the electrical and instrumentation systems at our water treatment plants, wastewater collection systems, and water distribution systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform repairs, replacements, and routine scheduled maintenance of electrical components.
  • Perform maintenance and repair of pumps, motors, electrical equipment, and other related equipment.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
  • Assist in the installation of electrical conduit, wire systems, motor components, and related electrical devices.
  • Observe standard operating procedures, safety practices, and follow NEC Code and NFPA guidelines.
  • Identify existing or potential facility or equipment failure and report the problem to supervisor.
  • Perform minor excavation of job sites by manual labor or the use of various equipment.
  • Operate, clean, and maintain various power tools and equipment.
  • Maintain all administration paperwork associated with regulations compliance.
  • Direct, train, assign, and review work of Utilities electrical staff in the field.
  • Provide recommendations and costs for additional instrumentation technological advances and any electrical upgrades.
  • Perform routine on-call shifts as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED and six (6) years of experience as an industrial electrician, or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Journeyman Electrician's license or higher and a valid Florida Class E Driver's License.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
