About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialty Services Technician to join our team at STERIS. As a trusted advisor to our customers, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of service and support for our sterilization equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform sterilizer cleaning and maintenance functions, including changing chemical ingredients, monitoring cleaning processes, and maintaining equipment.
  • Work closely with the scheduling team, supervisor, and customers to plan efficient service routes and adhere to all coverage and service standards.
  • Troubleshoot and consult on equipment and system component issues, utilizing technical expertise and knowledge of preventative maintenance.
  • Utilize technology, including smartphones, computers, and software applications, to perform administrative duties and ensure effective planning and documentation.
  • Complete service reports and activities on-site, maintain customer service logs, and ensure tools, supplies, and parts inventory are up-to-date.
  • Responsible for company vehicle, equipment, and tools, including maintenance and escalation of issues for safe and effective operation.
  • Acquire and maintain vendor credentialing for hospitals and ensure compliance with hospital and customer health and safety protocols.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent with 3 years of work experience, including 1 year of technical or service-related work experience and interaction with customers.
  • Field service experience preferred.
  • Technical ability and experience required, including knowledge of preventative maintenance and ability to communicate inspection, repair, and handling to customers.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience and demonstrated proficiency working with technology, including basic computer skills, smartphones, and devices.
  • Must be able to comply with hospital and customer credentialing requirements.
