Job Description:**
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Care Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing quality nursing care to patients, following physician's orders, state and federal regulations, and facility policies.
- Administer medications as ordered by physicians and according to facility policies.
- Supervise and guide nursing assistants and orderlies.
- Assist physicians with rounds as needed.
- Perform treatments scheduled during the shift and document appropriately.
- Maintain infection control measures as necessary.
- Adhere to all regulations pertaining to cleanliness, infection control, and Standard/Universal Precautions.
- Participate in research related to quality of care, as assigned.
- Assist with records, orders, and assessment of new admissions unit/hall.
Requirements:*
- Registered Nurse (RN) degree from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current, valid license from North Carolina Board of Nursing.
- Ability to provide high-quality patient care, follow doctor's orders, and show genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
- CPR certification yearly.
- Able to supervise nursing assistants and ensure work assignments are completed timely and effectively.
- Dependable, flexible, and able to work well with all nursing personnel, other departments, and have understanding, patience, and tact when interacting with patients, families, doctors, and others.
