Job Summary

The Clinical Nurse - B-CH (SSN) Flexible Integrated Team is a dynamic and challenging role that requires a skilled and compassionate nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct and indirect age-specific and developmentally appropriate quality patient-centered care in a variety of settings.
  • Utilize discretion and independent judgment to prioritize, coordinate, and provide care in accordance with established Professional Practice Model.
  • Perform the nursing process (assessment, care planning, intervention, evaluation) with minimal supervision and in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Function in a skills mix environment and delegate tasks to unlicensed staff in accordance with scope of practice.
  • Apply theoretical concepts to clinical practice and continually expand knowledge base and clinical skills with a focus in area of specialty.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree or Diploma Degree in Nursing required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience required.
  • Completion of Basic Arrhythmia Recognition and Treatment course or equivalent required within six months of hire.
  • Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to apply theoretical concepts to clinical practice and continually expand knowledge base and clinical skills with a focus in area of specialty and population served.
  • Basic knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation required.
  • Exhibits professional behavior at all times and works calmly and responds courteously when under pressure.
Working Conditions
  • Ability to speak, read, and write legibly in English (and Spanish preferred) with professional quality.
  • Ability to use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and calibrate patient care equipment.
  • Ability to perform technical patient care activities.
  • Ability to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others.
