Position SummaryThe Quality Inspector - Final Assembly is responsible for overseeing the inspection of work in progress and finished products. This role involves maintaining precise records to meet both company and customer documentation standards, conducting root cause analyses on non-conformance reports (NCRs) and customer issues, and implementing necessary corrective actions. Additionally, the position may require involvement in process development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct inspections and support electrical assessments on a wide array of equipment and products.
- Interpret technical assembly drawings to wire and install electrical components, ensuring compliance with quality and reliability standards.
- Verify that all equipment is calibrated and adheres to electrical codes and design specifications.
- Perform in-process inspections throughout the production cycle and execute visual and measurement tests.
- Lead final inspections of completed products to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Communicate any changes in quality processes or procedures to relevant team members.
- Assist in collecting process feedback, leading root cause analyses, and implementing corrective measures.
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to ensure all documentation is accurately completed.
- Support the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
- Participate in safety meetings and report any safety concerns to management.
- Preferred: Master Electrician certification to aid in the development of the Journeyman Program.
- High School diploma or GED with three years of relevant industrial/commercial electrical experience and two years in quality control/inspection.
- Familiarity with three-phase power systems, motor controls, drives, and low voltage controls.
- Proficient in using electrical testing equipment such as multimeters and Volt-Ohm meters.
- Strong ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and prints.
- Detail-oriented with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
