Position Summary for Heavy Construction Truck Driver
The Heavy Construction Truck Driver is responsible for transporting materials and equipment to various construction sites. This role demands a high level of expertise in handling flat-bed trucks and securing loads effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Safely drive materials and equipment to and from construction job sites.
- Demonstrate proficiency in flat-bed operations and load security.
- Complete daily inspection reports, IFTA reports, and maintain accurate driver's daily log books, including E-Logs.
- Pass pre-employment DOT drug screening and maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols.
- Be prepared to work extended and unpredictable hours in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Engage in prolonged periods of sitting and driving commercial and industrial vehicles.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Construction Truck Driver is required.
- Class A CDL is preferred; however, a Class B CDL with Hazmat endorsement is mandatory.
To excel in this position, candidates must effectively perform all essential duties. Reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to fulfill the essential functions of the role.
