Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Operations Manager to join our team at Stop and Shop. As a key member of our logistics department, you will be responsible for managing the daily yard operation, overseeing routing solutions, and ensuring the effective use of transportation resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and implement new backhaul opportunities, negotiating cost-justified allowances and pick-up contracts with vendors.
  • Measure success against original projections and establish working relationships with Procurement and Suppliers.
  • Manage the execution of plans and strategies by directing the day-to-day operations of the fleet outbound group.
  • Establish and manage to budgets, accountable for results, and evaluate ability to meet program goals.

The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.

About the Role

This is a bonus-eligible position that offers a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, based on experience.
