We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the Office of Addiction Services and Supports. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough medical histories and physical examinations on newly admitted patients.
- Author medication orders and clarify orders with nursing staff as needed.
- Assist in the ongoing assessment of patients and develop treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Provide educational lectures and individual health counseling to patients.
- Refer patients to local hospitals for acute medical and psychiatric care.
- May function as Employee Health Coordinator and participate in activities to improve patient care and facility operations.
- Utilize a computer daily for patient documentation and other required communications.
- May provide services via telemedicine and travel to other ATCs as needed.
Candidates must be eligible and maintain eligibility for full and unconditional participation in the Medicaid and Medicare programs. A background investigation will be conducted, including a Criminal Background Check, State and federal Criminal History Record Checks, and screening against the Statewide Central Register of Child Abuse and Maltreatment.
