We are seeking a highly skilled Generative AI Software Developer to join our team at Genentech. As a key member of our Digital Transformation Office, you will play a critical role in developing and deploying cutting-edge generative AI models and applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop advanced generative models using techniques such as GANs, VAEs, and transformers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and product managers, to integrate generative AI capabilities into our products and services.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in generative AI and machine learning, and evaluate new technologies and methodologies to continuously improve our models and solutions.
- Manage end-to-end model training processes, including data preparation, hyperparameter tuning, and performance evaluation.
- Develop and maintain robust deployment pipelines for AI models, and monitor model performance in production and implement necessary improvements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Proven 5+ years of experience in developing and deploying ML/AI models, and 2+ years of experience in developing and deploying generative AI models.
- Strong background in deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
- Proficiency in Python, Typescript, and either React or Vue.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS).
- Demonstrated proficiency with version control systems and automated software testing and delivery.
- Strong understanding of generative models, including GANs, VAEs, and transformer-based architectures.
- Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision.
- Proficiency with containerized workflows and architectures.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of tackling complex technical challenges.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Sound knowledge of DevOps, infrastructure, and continuous integration concepts.
- Relevant experience with a proven track record in healthcare-related NLP, computer vision, or medical imaging projects.
What We Offer:
- A competitive salary range of $137,200 - $254,800 based on experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
- A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
- Access to a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
