Job Title: Produce Sales Associate

Weis Markets is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Produce Sales Associate to join our team. As a key member of our produce department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring that our produce is always fresh and appealing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized produce department, including rotating stock, pricing merchandise, and disposing of trash.
  • Assist in building attractive displays and maintaining a visually appealing store environment.
  • Accurately complete product logs and handle spoiled and damaged product according to company policy.
  • Responsible for general sanitation in the department, following cleaning schedules and department guidelines to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
  • Assist in minimizing shrink and controlling damages, reporting shortages and overages to management.
  • May assist with receiving, unloading, checking-in, breaking-down, and storing deliveries, as well as baling cardboard and other related duties.
  • Ensure smooth function of the department and store by cooperating with co-workers and superiors, and continuously improving job performance.
Requirements:
  • Completed or working towards a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • No prior experience required, but a willingness to learn and take on new challenges is essential.
