The Cloud DevSecOps Engineer I is a key member of the Global Technology Infrastructure & Operations team at McDonald's, responsible for driving the transformation of infrastructure and operations products and services across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the management, design, and solutioning of software development and deployment processes to ensure efficient, secure, and scalable delivery.
  • Collaborate with vendors to standardize and engineer DevSecOps tools, and build reusable pipeline templates for automated deployment of cloud infrastructure and code.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality automation workflows inside and outside the cloud platform, aligned with business and technology strategies.
  • Build a continuous automation framework for the software development and deployment process, and monitor and troubleshoot the software delivery process.
  • Work closely with software developers and operations engineers to improve the software delivery process, and stay up-to-date on the latest DevSecOps practices and technologies.
  • Drive proof of concepts and conduct technical feasibility studies for business requirements, and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Effectively communicate project health, risks, and issues to program partners, sponsors, and management teams, and resolve conflicts between prioritization and scope independently.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Information Technology experience, with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in information technology or a related field.
  • 2+ years of application development using agile methodology, with sophisticated knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines.
  • Hands-on knowledge of a broad range of End-to-End DevOps technologies, including Kubernetes and AWS platform.
  • Ability to design, develop, and implement scalable, elastic microservice-based platforms, and help/guide teams in resolving technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation.
  • Good to have experience in working on Code Quality SAST and DAST tools like SonarQube/SonarCloud, Veracode, Checkmarx, and Snyk.
  • Experience in container-based technologies, and any AWS Certification (preferably DevOps) or Agile certification (preferably scaled agile).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of AWS and Azure, and a willingness to upskill as the company's adoption grows.
  • Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and hands-on developer knowledge of an Infrastructure-as-Code and associated technologies.
  • Knowledge of IaaS and PaaS offerings in AWS, Azure, and GCP, and previous DevSecOps and/or automation experience.
  • Experience developing scripts or automating tasks using languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, Perl, Ruby, etc.
  • Good knowledge of AWS Platform, preferably 2+ years AWS/Kubernetes experience, and 2+ years hands-on DevOps pipeline for automating, building, and deploying Microservice Applications, APIs, and Non-Container Artifacts.
  • 2+ years GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Helm Charts, SonarQube, and 2+ years hands-on experience with CI/CD technologies including Microservices, Terraform, and Pipeline creation/management.
  • 2+ years working with Cloud technologies, and experience with observability tools like Datadog, New Relic, and open source (O11y) observability ecosystem.
