About the Position

The Virginia Community College System is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach Physics courses at our Lord Fairfax Community College campus. As an Adjunct Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching college-level courses, including distance learning on and off campus courses during the day, evening, and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Physics courses to students at the college level
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback to students
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development
  • Other duties as assigned by the department chair or dean

Requirements

  • Masters or Ph.D. in Physics or a related field
  • Teaching experience at the college level
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students and colleagues
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
