Job Description:

The Certified Medication Aide role at Ashton Medical Lodge is an excellent opportunity for professionals seeking a challenging and rewarding career in healthcare. In this position, you will provide critical support to our residents under the guidance of licensed nursing staff.

Essential Duties:
  • Dispense medications correctly and maintain detailed records.
  • Identify potential medication-related issues and communicate them to the nurse.
  • Document medications administered and dosage in the MAR.
  • Implement medication accountability procedures as per state/federal regulations.
  • Promote a culture of infection control and adhere to relevant policies.
  • Offer assistance with resident care as needed and be prepared to work as a Certified Nurse Aide when necessary.

Eligibility Criteria:
  • Hold current Medication Aide Certification and Certified Nurse Aide licensure in the State of Texas.
  • Be in good standing on the Nursing Assistant Registry in the State of Texas and the Nurse Aide Misconduct Registry.

Shift Information: Double Weekend schedule, including Saturdays and Sundays from 6:00am-10:00pm. May include holidays, weekends, and night shifts.
