At CGH Medical Center, we are seeking a skilled Echo Technologist to join our team. As an Echo Technologist, you will play a critical role in creating high-quality images of the human heart using high-frequency sound waves.
Job Summary:The Echo Technologist will perform echocardiography procedures using accepted principles and practices. This includes accurately assessing examination quality, appropriateness, and results. The successful candidate will also educate patients and families by explaining procedures and answering questions. Additionally, they will evaluate images for quality and ensure that diagnostic images are captured.
Responsibilities:- Perform echocardiography procedures using accepted principles and practices.
- Accurately assess examination quality, appropriateness, and results.

- Evaluate images for quality and ensure that diagnostic images are captured.
- Complete record entries into a computerized system, ensuring studies are complete and safely secured.
- Recognize and respond to emergency situations appropriately.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and clean patient areas and machines between patients.
- Present studies for reading and report emergent preliminary findings to physicians.
- Maintain patient records and add medical notes related to the ultrasound procedure.
- Education from an accredited school in echocardiography.
- Successful completion of registry through ARMDS or CCI within 3 months of employment.
- BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
- Able to assess and interpret data about patient status to identify needs and provide appropriate care.
