About the Role
The Financial Planning and Analysis team at AspenTech is responsible for driving business growth and success through strategic financial planning and analysis. As a key member of this team, you will play a critical role in forecasting and long-term financial modeling, periodic operational and financial reporting, and business partnering with senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain accurate and timely financial models and reports using MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and reporting & analytic software.
- Own the top-line monthly and quarter close for Annual Contract Value detail, ensuring seamless integration with Investor Relations, Board of Directors, Finance Leadership Team, CEO, CFO, and Business Leadership.
- Partner with Sales, Sales Operations, Customer Support & Training, and Revenue Accounting to drive business growth and improve financial performance.
- Contribute to the annual budgeting and financial planning process, providing data-driven insights to inform business decisions.
- Research, compile, model, and analyze data to support periodic revenue, growth in Annual Contract Value, and cash forecasting for short- and long-term financial modeling and reporting.
- Deliver ad-hoc analysis and reporting as required, leveraging expertise in financial projection and business modeling.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process gaps and implement improvements, driving operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance required; master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of professional experience in financial planning and analysis, with a proven track record of success in financial projection and business modeling.
- Process development and project management experience a plus.
- Demonstrated expertise in modeling Income Statement and Cash Flow statements.
- Experience with reporting and analytic software required.
- Excellent organization, communication, and presentation skills required.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office productivity tools, with expertise in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Software and/or services industry experience helpful.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to manage existing processes, while collaborating with teams to improve gaps.
