About the Role:

As a Data Center Technical Team Lead at CBRE, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of complex data center systems. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage the daily activities of the technical team, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Implement and maintain effective preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure optimal system performance.
  • Collaborate with external contractors, tenant finish personnel, and technicians to ensure seamless maintenance and repair services.
  • Oversee all building systems, including fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical issues, and stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to emergency situations and customer concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Lead by example, modeling behaviors that align with CBRE's RISE values and influencing others to reach a shared understanding.
  • Apply technical expertise to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues that may arise in existing systems and processes.
Requirements:
  • Training in a technical discipline, such as electrical or HVAC, with a combination of experience and education considered.
  • Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.
  • Ability to communicate complex information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems in a professional manner.
  • Ability to work shifts that may include weekends and holidays, and meet the physical requirements of the role.
  • Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems, and the ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience.
  • Strong organizational skills, with an inquisitive mindset and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
