Role Summary:
We are seeking a qualified Offshore Construction Site Supervisor to oversee the safe and efficient execution of projects at designated construction sites. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational excellence.
The Offshore Construction Site Supervisor will report directly to the Lead Site Manager and functionally to the Head of Site Management and Installation Leads (SMIL).
Key Responsibilities:
- Exercise authority over all operations at the construction site, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Provide daily reports to the Lead Site Manager and maintain functional communication with the Head of SMIL.
- Plan and execute site activities in alignment with contractual obligations and EHS/QA systems.
- Conduct continuous evaluations of team performance, fostering skill development and capability enhancement.
- Implement and refine processes, workflows, and standards to promote a safe working environment.
- Champion EHS leadership within the project, advocating for a Zero Harm culture.
- Ensure compliance with safety, schedule, cost, and quality targets, addressing any deviations with appropriate countermeasures.
- Manage change and claim processes, driving a Zero Defect culture across all operations.
- Oversee site setup, mobilization, and demobilization, ensuring maintenance of tools and equipment.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or have 5-8 years of experience in the offshore wind sector, including a minimum of 2 years in a similar supervisory role.
We seek an experienced leader with a proven track record in large-scale international construction projects, possessing in-depth technical knowledge of wind turbine products and logistics.
Strong conflict resolution skills and a solution-oriented mindset are essential, along with the ability to understand technical issues and work processes at site locations.
A solid grasp of project site operations, planning, production, assembly, and commissioning is required, along with a comprehensive understanding of business planning processes.
Candidates should be EHS and Quality focused, capable of identifying risks proactively, and familiar with SGRE Sphera, QA, and EHS protocols.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are necessary for success in this role.
Willingness to travel globally and work on a rotational basis, both onshore and offshore, is required.
