The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a highly skilled Podiatrist to join our team. Key Responsibilities- Provide podiatric services in various settings, including outpatient, urgent care, inpatient, and telehealth.
- Perform podiatric procedures in the operating room and office setting.
- Perform clinical review, triage, and management of podiatric consults.
- Play an active role in teaching of trainees, including residents, medical students, and others.
- Ensure accurate and timely medical record documentation.
- Participate in committees, peer review process, and other administrative responsibilities as assigned.
- Must be a citizen of the United States.
- Must have a degree as a doctor of podiatric medicine or its equivalent from a school of podiatric medicine approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs.
- Must have completed, or currently be completing, residency training or its equivalent approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
- Must currently hold, or will hold, a full and unrestricted license to practice Podiatry in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or in the District of Columbia.
- Must be proficient in spoken and written English.
The work schedule for this position will be determined by the supervisor upon selection. The position may require rotating call coverage, weekdays, nights, weekends, and/or holidays. The supervisor will determine the actual work schedule (full-time, part-time, intermittent, and the hours worked) upon selection based on the needs of the organization.
