Under the general oversight of the Hospital Director and direct supervision of a Hospital Service Manager, this role is responsible for guiding the clinical team to ensure high-quality, comprehensive, and personalized care for all clients and their pets. This position ensures that staffing levels are adequate to support the staff across designated departments, facilitating effective medical services and an optimal client experience. Acts as a key liaison between leadership and the clinical staff, embodying the mission, vision, and core values of Ethos Veterinary Health LLC.
Key Responsibilities: This position entails 25% administrative duties and 75% clinical responsibilities. The administrative component will oversee two specialty departments, while the clinical aspect will involve hands-on veterinary technician work in one or both of the supervised departments. Engages in identifying and planning staffing needs in alignment with client population demands and budgetary constraints. Familiarizes with the workflow across various departments. Contributes to problem-solving initiatives for daily operational challenges. Fosters constructive and collaborative relationships throughout the hospital. Promotes mutual trust, respect, communication, and teamwork among colleagues. Advocates for the satisfaction of both internal and external clients. Serves as the primary point of contact in accordance with the assigned duty schedule. Collaborates with personnel at all levels and across departments to enhance service delivery without compromising care quality or hospitality. Involved in the recruitment, onboarding, and coaching of new staff members. Coordinates necessary training and skill development for team members. Responsible for creating and managing staff schedules. Qualifications: A CVT license is mandatory for this position. Proficient in anesthesia preparation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and recovery processes. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity, or overseeing projects, is highly preferred. Skills and Attributes: Must exhibit effective leadership qualities. Ability to foster effective oral and written communication among team members. Demonstrates professionalism in all interactions. Proven capability to lead by example.
