In-House Technology Counsel

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced attorney to join our Corporate Counseling & Transactions Unit (CC&T) as a Counsel for Technology Transactions. As a key member of our team, you will advise on a variety of technology matters, including transactions for technology services, vendor contracts, and data security.
Responsibilities- Advise on legal issues related to technology transactions, including counseling our Enterprise Technology Department and other business areas on vendor contracts.
- Draft and negotiate technology agreements, including SaaS, PaaS, technology consulting, staff augmentation, and outsourcing agreements.
- Assist in contract negotiation and serve as a counseling role, advising business areas on allocating business and legal risks associated with vendor relationships.
- Collaborate with our Purchasing Department to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- J.D. from an ABA accredited law school and excellent academic credentials.
- Active license to practice law in at least one state and a member in good standing of the bar.
- Ability to obtain a limited license in IL if not already appropriately licensed in IL.
- 3-6 years of transactional experience, preferably with experience or acumen in the technology area.
- Commitment to providing quality legal advice, learning agility, and a history of enthusiastic participation in a team environment.
