Case Manager II

Job Summary
The City Colleges of Chicago is seeking a highly skilled Case Manager II to join our team at the Kennedy-King College Wellness Center. As a key member of our student services department, you will provide a range of counseling, case management, and outreach services to students, faculty, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group psychotherapy and other direct clinical interventions to a diverse student population.
- Prepare and plan for therapy sessions, completing clinical documents in accordance with HIPPA standards.
- Conduct best practices crisis assessment and intervention, arranging emergency psychiatric assessment as needed.
- Meet with walk-in clients to assess their immediate or emergency needs, providing crisis counseling and intervention services as needed.
- Provide short-term counseling and coaching to clients to address problems and develop coping mechanisms and skills.
- Serve as a consultant to college staff and faculty for student development issues, behavioral threat assessment, classroom behavioral management, and the overall behavioral health of the college community.
- Plan, develop, and implement educational and prevention outreach and programming in coordination with the Clinical Director.
- Represent the Wellness Center and advocate for mental health and wellness on college-related committees as assigned.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Social Work (M.S.W.) or a related field.
- Currently working on obtaining licensure by the State of Illinois as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), a Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or a Clinical Psychologist.
- Counseling experience in a student counseling center within an urban commuter college or university environment is highly desirable.
