We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Carle Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our medical and nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of routine direct patient care duties to assist medical and nursing staff in the examination and treatment of patients.
- Maintain patient care environment and supplies to ensure patient privacy and safety.
- Room patients, collect pertinent information, and maintain department specific competencies.
- Prepare patients and supplies for department specific procedures.
- Assist with bone marrow biopsies and transport patients as needed.
- H.S. Diploma/GED
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Successful completion of medical terminology course within six (6) months of start date
