Job Title: Cyber Host Forensics Analyst III

About the Role:

Nightwing is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Host Forensics Analyst III to support our critical customer mission. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading forensic teams at onsite engagements, providing technical assistance on digital evidence matters, and writing in-depth reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Federal leads with overseeing and leading forensic teams at onsite engagements
  • Provide technical assistance on digital evidence matters and forensic investigative techniques
  • Write in-depth reports, support with peer reviews, and provide quality assurance reviews for junior personnel
  • Support forensic analysis and mentor junior personnel on data collection, analysis, and reporting
  • Assist with leading and coordinating forensic teams in preliminary investigations
  • Plan, coordinate, and direct the inventory, examination, and comprehensive technical analysis of computer-related evidence
  • Distill analytic findings into executive summaries and in-depth technical reports
  • Serve as a technical forensics liaison to stakeholders and explain investigation details
  • Track and document onsite incident response activities and provide updates to leadership

Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • DHS Suitability
  • 8+ years of directly relevant experience in cyber forensic investigations
  • Ability to create forensically sound duplicates of evidence
  • Experience with writing cyber investigative reports
  • Experience with analyzing and characterizing cyber attacks
  • Knowledge of system and application security threats and vulnerabilities

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with or knowledge of two or more of the following tools: EnCase, FTK, SIFT, X-Ways, Volatility, WireShark, Sleuth Kit/Autopsy, Splunk, Snort, or other EDR Tools
  • Proficiency with conducting all-source research

Benefits:

Nightwing offers a competitive salary range of $96,000 - $200,000, depending on experience. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
