About the Role

Fresenius Medical Care Holdings, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to individuals undergoing hemodialysis treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with hemodialysis treatment, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any unusual findings to the nurse supervisor.
  • Perform vascular access evaluation, cannulation, and administration of heparin as delegated or allowed by state law.
  • Initiate dialysis treatment according to prescribed orders and evaluate intradialytic problems, providing intervention as prescribed.
  • Document patient information accurately and in a timely manner, including vital signs, treatment parameters, and any unusual findings.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and support.
Requirements
  • Center for Medicaid/Medicare Services (CMS)-approved state and/or national certification or High School diploma or G.E.D.
  • Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting or related facility preferred.
  • Successful completion of the FMCNA dialysis training program and CPR certification.
