The New Y-CAPP, Inc is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Crisis Stabilization Professional to join our team. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a deep understanding of mental health disorders, counseling techniques, and therapeutic interventions.

Job Summary

This position involves providing clinical support and direction to the crisis stabilization program, as well as supervising crisis stabilization counselors who provide direct mental health care to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical support to individuals experiencing an acute crisis of a psychiatric nature.
  • Develop diagnostic intake assessments prior to entry to the program.
  • Collaborate with Counselors to ensure approval for eligibility, accurate diagnosis, and make recommendations for treatment planning.
  • Mobilize resources of the community support system, family members, and others for ongoing maintenance, and rehabilitation.
  • Be available for 24-Hour Emergency Response and participate in On-Call Crisis.
Requirements
  • Possess a valid driving license and maintain an acceptable driving record.
  • Own and operate an insurable and registered vehicle.
  • Provide services in various neighborhoods, including low socio-economic communities.
  • Have access to and ability to use a computer, printer, internet services, flash drive, and other necessary items and equipment to produce electronic program documentation/paper work.
Educational Requirements

A Master's degree in a related field such as Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling is required. Additionally, at least three years of experience providing direct services to individuals with a mental health diagnosis is necessary. Supervisory experience is preferred.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include a comprehensive health insurance package, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
