About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Vocational Rehabilitation Program Manager to join our team at RHA Health Services. As a key member of our interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will play a vital role in monitoring, implementing, and documenting vocational programs and training programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and ensure consistency and quality of training, habilitation, and development programs for individuals with disabilities.
  • Supervise classroom and vocational activities, including coordinating schedules and events of Habilitation Technicians, Vocational Instructors, and other staff members.
  • Formulate training policies, programs, and schedules based on individual needs, company production processes, and business systems.
  • Devises special teaching tools, techniques, and equipment, and creates learning materials tailored to each individual's ability and interest.
  • Directs and monitors contract work, negotiates rates with vendors, and ensures confidentiality regarding sensitive material.
  • Reports all suspected or observed incidents of abuse, neglect, or exploitation to management.
  • Provides coaching and instruction to individuals in all facets of their individualized programs, including improving sensory motor and perceptual motor development, perception, memory, language, cognition, and social and emotional development.
  • Assists members of the clinical and medical staff in rehabilitation programs, monitors and assures responsibilities of Vocational Instructors and Program Manager stations, and provides input to staff performance evaluations.
  • Confers with guardians, administrators, qualified professionals, habilitation specialists, social workers, and others to develop individual instructional programs for individuals with disabilities.
  • Interfaces between day program/vocational center, community workers, and employees, plans and assists with the implementation of special events, and attends mandatory meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Trains staff on day program procedures, makes staff assignments, ensures adequate staffing, schedules lunches, breaks, and orders supplies, and stays informed of new developments, methods, and training techniques in the ID/DD field.
Requirements
  • Two-year certificate from college or technical school and three to six months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Valid driver's license, including personal vehicle insurance coverage, and proficiency in company-sponsored training and certifications.
  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in CPR from floor level.
