KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Financial Systems Specialist acts as the administrator for the loan origination system and is responsible for generating reports through the collection, analysis, and summarization of data. This role includes overseeing performance and quality control initiatives to pinpoint areas for enhancement. As the system administrator, the specialist provides strategic technical guidance to ensure effective implementation and management of the application across various departments including Sales, Marketing, Technical Services, Support, and Operations. This position also recommends best practices for process integration, application development, deployment, and continuous improvements of the platform.

The incumbent will be expected to:

  • Generate reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing data
  • Support internal users across different systems
  • Collaborate with management to prioritize business and information requirements
  • Identify project needs by engaging with business stakeholders, analyzing operations, and documenting outcomes
  • Create and maintain databases and management reports; analyze data to uncover anomalies, trends, and opportunities for enhancement
  • Work under moderate supervision to analyze and resolve moderately complex operational and systems-related challenges
  • Possibly manage small projects requiring coordination and contribution to task forces or project teams
  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical methods, and provide ongoing reports
  • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and strategies that enhance statistical efficiency and quality
  • Acquire data from primary or secondary sources and maintain databases/data systems
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex datasets
  • Filter and clean data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to locate and rectify code issues
  • Identify and define new opportunities for process improvements
  • Create and manage custom objects, fields, formulas, validation rules, workflows, and approval processes
  • Design, document, build, test, and deploy enhancements to custom objects, page layouts, workflows, alerts, reports, and dashboards
  • Maintain and utilize the testing environment
  • Manage user roles, profiles, security settings, and access configurations
  • Research changes in upcoming versions of integrated applications
  • Provide recommendations to enhance efficiency and productivity
  • Develop and maintain report folders and dashboards to improve system usability
  • Maintain a comprehensive view of all business processes and users to understand cross-functional impacts
  • Lead user requirement sessions and document user needs to address evolving business demands
  • Take primary responsibility for implementing new functionalities as per project requirements
  • Troubleshoot system issues by monitoring tickets until resolution
  • Conduct routine reviews of code, configuration, data, and usage to ensure long-term viability and integrity
  • Understand existing system reports and their functionalities in supporting management initiatives
  • Create ad hoc reports as needed by management and operational staff
  • Keep management informed of project status and establish a system for continuous information flow among stakeholders
  • Manage change effectively
  • Stay informed about regulatory changes affecting applicable systems and practices
  • Maintain records of all system changes, including implementation dates and required approvals
  • Keep a library of all business rules and credit policies
  • Maintain document libraries and create custom documents, letters, and templates as needed
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies applicable to this role

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate substantial amounts of information with attention to detail
  • Proficient in queries, report writing, and presenting findings
  • Fully skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and/or nCino
  • Understanding of AS400 (IBM i Series)
  • Problem-solving and investigative abilities
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Experience in report writing, including charts and graphs
  • Aptitude for mathematics and ability to interpret numeric data, graphs, and statistics
  • Detail-oriented and thorough
  • Able to work effectively on both self-managed and team-oriented projects
  • Proactive and adaptable
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying complex issues at various organizational levels
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work accurately and efficiently under pressure
  • Analytical mindset with a problem-solving approach

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

The physical requirements and environmental conditions of this position primarily include:

  • Prolonged periods of standing and sitting
  • Frequent use of a computer, including typing and sustained attention to a monitor
  • Occasional lifting and/or moving equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Normal office environment with comfortable temperatures and low noise levels
