Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Specialist to join our team at HRM. This role is responsible for maintaining the good condition and functionality of our affordable housing properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they meet health and safety standards
  • Perform maintenance and installation of systems, including replacing light bulbs and sockets, cleaning and repairing circuit breaker panels, and changing filter furnaces
  • Inspect alarm systems and schedule repairs as needed
  • Perform manual repairs, such as fixing locks and replacing windows
  • Assist in setup of systems and conduct repairs when necessary
Requirements
  • Maintenance experience preferred
  • Detail-oriented and able to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic technology skills, including smartphones and computers
  • Organizational skills and ability to lift up to 90lbs
