At Chamberlain University, we are seeking a skilled Nursing Education Specialist to provide academic support to our students. As a member of our academic team, you will play a vital role in helping our students achieve their goals and succeed in their nursing careers.

About the Role

The Nursing Education Specialist will work closely with our faculty and staff to develop and implement personalized remediation plans for our students. You will also be responsible for facilitating simulation-based experiences and labs, as well as coordinating and supervising lab experiences to ensure that students have the opportunity to meet course objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate Simulation-Based Experiences: Assist in the creation of Next Generation NCLEX activities/workshops, maintain equipment, order supplies, set up and clean up labs.
  • Provide Academic Support: Demonstrate current, detailed, accurate knowledge of concepts tested by the NCLEX-RN, assist in developing clinically based scenarios, and communicate student progress to academic leadership.
  • Coordinate Lab Experiences: Staff open lab, provide individual oversight, and coordinate lab experiences to ensure students meet course objectives.
  • Tutoring and Outreach: Provide individual or group tutoring, participate in outreach to students with at-risk referrals, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Required; Master's Degree in Education or Nursing Preferred.
  • 1+ year experience in an academic environment supporting classroom instruction or specialized tutoring support Preferred.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Maintenance of a current, unencumbered RN license Required and BLS CPR Required.
