Job Summary

The Research Assistant will serve as a key member of the Research and Evaluation team at WestCare, supporting the implementation of the Research and Evaluation plan for the Adult Reentry Warm Hand Off and Rental Assistance programs. This role requires a strong understanding of various cultural groups, socio-economic dynamics, and adolescent developmental characteristics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Research and Evaluation team to design and implement research studies.
  • Collect and analyze data on clients, including baseline, discharge, and follow-up information.
  • Administer and score assessment instruments, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
  • Enter client data into statistical databases, maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Monitor data collection processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Compile and manage data, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Maintain a tracking and follow-up log for all clients, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Engage with clients to build rapport and facilitate tracking and follow-up efforts.
  • Conduct chart audits for evaluation purposes, providing valuable insights for program improvement.
  • Administer client perception surveys and conduct focus groups, gathering valuable feedback for program enhancement.
  • Develop and maintain a research and evaluation file for each client, ensuring comprehensive and accurate documentation.
  • Perform basic statistical analyses, providing data-driven insights for program improvement.
  • Produce reports and assist in the development of reports, ensuring timely and accurate communication of research findings.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a research-related field.
  • One year of equivalent experience in evaluation and/or research.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, with a strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork.
  • Adherence to the highest standards of ethical conduct, particularly in regards to confidentiality and data protection.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Military or veteran status.
  • CPR certification, first aid certification, and annual tuberculosis testing.
Working Conditions

This role will primarily be performed in an office or residential treatment setting, with some outdoor activities required. The ability to de-escalate situations and work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, is essential.
