Job Title: Associate Manager, Systems Engineering


Job Summary:

L3Harris Technologies is seeking an experienced Systems Engineering Manager to lead our team in designing and testing complex systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to coordinate and lead teams of technical personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide mentoring to less experienced Systems Engineers
  • Serve as technical lead for Systems Engineering team
  • Lead, direct, and review the work of direct report(s) to accomplish near-term operational plans and results
  • Provide input on hiring, firing, promotion, performance and/or compensation decisions
  • Communicate within and outside systems engineering to explain and gain cooperation on policies and practices
  • Perform systems engineering duties for multiple systems simultaneously
  • Direct experience with SSP SPALT, PAD, Coordination Drawing, and Ordnance Document process
  • Direct experience working on SSBN Interfaces, Fire Control, and Shipboard Data System
  • Knowledge of SSP Formula 1 (SF1) and SWS Alignment Knowledge of SSP Systems Engineering processes and procedures
  • Evaluation of design changes to assess impact to interfaces
  • Support digital engineering and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Contribute to and present during customer gate reviews
  • Contribute to proposal activities
  • Must have the ability to travel
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum 6 years prior relevant experience
  • Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
  • 5+ years of direct experience working with SSP
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Must have Secret Security Clearance

  • Demonstrated initiative, drive, and interpersonal skills


In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $102,000 - $190,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris Technologies also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays.
