Job DescriptionAs an Operations Specialist at CHS Inc., you will play a crucial role in carrying out general labor responsibilities promptly and efficiently.
Your tasks may include:
- Developing and maintaining knowledge of the commodities handled at the location and complying with company policy and government regulations.
- Working with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
- Loading and unloading agricultural inputs from railcars and/or trucks using heavy or light-duty machinery/equipment.
- Controlling and monitoring all load-out functions.
- Operating automated scale/dump systems.
- Conducting and recording daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks.
- Maintaining quality of inventory and delivering products to customer sites.
- Performing grounds maintenance and warehouse work.
- Reporting any customer complaints, repair or maintenance needs, or safety concerns to supervisor.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A minimum of one year of experience in operations and/or business operations.
- The ability to operate machinery such as loaders, conveyors, tractors, and track mobile.
- The ability to work extended hours during peak seasons to meet business demands.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- A CDL license or the ability to attain one with Hazmat endorsement.
- Agriculture experience is preferred.
