POSITION SUMMARY:
The Equipment Maintenance Specialist is tasked with the setup, adjustment, and upkeep of designated machinery within the facility. This role emphasizes a commitment to continuous improvement and fosters a culture of excellence through proactive engagement and professionalism.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Diagnose mechanical and operational issues on designated machinery and conduct tests to ensure proper functionality.
• Implement necessary adjustments and corrections to uphold optimal production quality.
• Assess production schedules and, during non-manufacturing periods, transition equipment to new specifications or perform routine maintenance.
• Resolve equipment jams and segregate products for inspection or rework.
• Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with Operations, Quality Assurance, and other departments.
• Inspect, test, and evaluate products from assigned machinery to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Conduct preventive maintenance checks and inspections on assigned machinery, reporting findings to the supervisor and taking necessary actions.
• Analyze and document causes of production delays in daily reports.
• Inform the maintenance department or supervisor of recurring equipment issues and corrective measures taken, as well as any quality concerns or required supplies.
• Contribute to a safe, clean, and positive work environment by demonstrating initiative and setting a good example.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Capacity to articulate ideas, concepts, and concerns in a clear, constructive, and professional manner.
• Ability to promote a collaborative atmosphere of teamwork and respect.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Attention to detail in addressing issues.
• Willingness to accept guidance and work collaboratively to achieve team objectives.
• A proactive and positive approach to problem-solving and initiative-taking.
EXPERIENCE:
• Previous experience in manufacturing maintenance is preferred.
