Position Overview

We are actively seeking seasoned Mortgage Loan Originators (MLO) or teams who excel at identifying, cultivating, and sustaining a robust network of external relationships and centers of influence (COIs) that generate referrals for new mortgage lending opportunities.

The Mortgage Loan Originator is responsible for a comprehensive range of tasks associated with the origination of residential mortgage loans, ensuring exceptional customer service while effectively managing the loan pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote residential mortgage loan products to real estate professionals, potential homebuyers, and builder sales representatives.
  • Dedicate at least 25% of your workday to marketing initiatives and closing business outside of the primary work location.
  • Process loan applications, ensuring accurate pricing and adherence to investor guidelines, as well as compliance with federal and state banking regulations.
  • Assist the processing team in obtaining necessary documentation for loan approval.
  • Continuously review investor guidelines to stay updated with agency (FNMA, FHLMC, GNMA, MHF) and individual investor requirements.
  • Maintain exceptional customer service standards while managing the expectations of applicants and support staff.
Minimum Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in originating residential mortgages.
  • Experience in originating loans for sale to FNMA, FHLMC, GNMA, and/or CDA is preferred.
Technical Skills and Knowledge

  • Proficiency in using a mortgage loan management system is essential; experience with Encompass is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
