Job Title: RN School Nurse

As a Registered Nurse with The Menta Education Group, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of students. Your expertise will be utilized to provide medical care, educate students on health-related topics, and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide first aid care and administer medically prescribed services.
  • Obtain and review consents for medication administration in school.
  • Document each instance of medication administration.
  • Train designated staff on medication administration and documentation.
  • Maintain the security of school health supplies.
  • Instruct students in health education.
  • Correspond with parents and medical providers on student health needs.
  • Record immunizations, health findings, and other relevant health data.
  • Maintain accurate related service logs.
  • Coordinate with administrative staff, teachers, and other related service staff as needed.
  • Develop Individual Health Care plans for students with allergies.
Qualifications:
  • Current/Active Registered Nurse licensure.
  • Considerable knowledge of medical and mental health disorders and treatment.
  • Considerable knowledge of child growth and development.
  • Working knowledge of public health problems and procedures for treatment.
  • Working knowledge of Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations affecting school health services.
  • Some knowledge of the school organization and community served.
  • Capacity to coordinate and facilitate services between the school, local health agency, and community resources.
